Blonde/black or black/red hair??/?

my hair atm is blonde on top and underneath it was black but has faded to a dark brown colour. my hair is about a couple inches past my shoulders.

but i want to do something different to my hair

i was gonna go black with a side fringe dyed red, but i dnt think im gonna do that no more incase i want to go blonde again

so i was thinkin to go hairdressers and get them to bleach my hair so its all blonde and then get a side fringe and dye that black. do u think that wud look okay?? or has anyone got any other ideas please.

Hi the black and red Idea sounds great, as at the moment there are so may girls going round with the 2 tone hair colour black underneath and blonde on top so a change would be nice to see, or there is always another root you could go by going a brown colour with flashed of blonde through, or all blonde and a great hair cut or just all black and a great hair cut.

Its the only trouble with having 2 tone hair, there is only really one colour you can only have your hair that way as if you want to go all blonde then its a bain in the backside to get rid of the black, even though you said your black has faded to dark brown, if you dyed over it with a dark brown then the underneath still wouldnt cover, as its completely different, I tried it when I wanted to go over my black hair underneath when I thought it had washed out, and the other pain is if you want to go all dark you will end up missing your blonde hair because you the black or dark brown is too dark.

My advice is if you think you will miss your blonde hair way to much and after you have dyed it black your going to hate it then I wouldnt do it as there is no way back from black, and if you try and get it out its a long process of funny coloured hair for a while. I would let all the colour grow out for a while and then decide what you want to do, or go semi perminant block for a while and try and get used to the black. before you get it dont at the hairdresser and you dont like it as the best idea I thought was the black and red you wanted to do.

Black with red would be so awesome. It would give you a great look like you have "edge" and guys will like that.

Ive got black emo hair with pink and purple bits in..I prefer it to my natural red hair.

Don't bleach it - bleached hair invaribly looks terrible........

However, I wouldn't be a fan of the other choice you made anyway, but that's my personal distaste against "emo-style" fashion.

But go with black and red, it is a better combination than bleached and black.

I think that the best option is blonde/black. red hair is like for a "emo" girl and for me, is not a good option. and think that if you go with green [for example] t-shirt it won't go looking at the colors

well i think its best blond with some chunks or lights in dark brown or black! black fringe it just doesn't ring for me, i would prefer black hair and blond fridge. well at the end of the day you have to like it not the people in here just do what you prefer or if you really cant decide ask your stylist she will answer you straight which colour will suite you best!_!

currently, i have a black graduated bob with side bangs that are colored a very vibrant red. it totally rocks and i have never gotten so many compliments on my hair. its fresh and different. the only downfall is that i have to put a semiperm red color in the red part of my hair about once a week because of the quick fading of red. if you decide to do this, make sure you always have a bottle of red semiperm color at your house and use color care shampoo.
