Bleaching my hair while it's colored from Red to Blonde?

I've heard that when your hair is colored and then you bleach it, you will toast your hair and damage it A LOT!!!! I wanna know if it's true or if I can do something else about it. I really wanna go from red hair to blonde is their ANYTHING i can do??? Thanx

Go to a professional salon if you want a good result...they will tell you what will work! Don't try this on your own...you'll end up with orange hair! Good Luck!

I've dyed my hair from black to blonde. I think you should bleach it then put a hairdye over it so its not an orangy color then leave some good conditioner in your hair like pantene for half an hour or more so it dosent dry out maybe even a hot oil treatment.
