What should I do to my red hair?

I have red hair.

However, it's not the bright orange red hair, it's more "auburn".

Length is to my upper/middle back.

I want to do something different with it...

I've had alot of suggestions on what to do with it like

1.Purple Streaks

2. Bright RED Streaks

3. Black under my natural red hair

I have a slight punk style... nothing major

I just wear alot of black.

Any suggestions?

Just to comment on a couple of your ideas...

The purple will clash with your auburn red and probably won't look good. It won't look striking or interesting, either. It will just clash and look odd.

The bright red won't stand out in your hair color, it will more then likely blend in and make it look like you have red highlights, which, I assume is not the look your going for.

I would go with your last idea of the black under your natural red. It will be the different "punk" style your going for and it won't look weird or anything like that.

i think red hair is pretty i would leave it how it is my frined has red hair and it looked HORRIBLE when she did streaks!

I am pretty sure I have around the same hair color that you do, and I am looking for the same thing. I went with both blonde AND bright red streaks and it looks fantastic. It also has a nice little edge to it. Hope it helps!

I like #3 as well. coloring hair black will last longer and be shinier and healthier then if you were to do purple or especially bright red, it will fade and look brassy and damaged.

I think the black would look really cute.
