Blonde shampoo on red hair?

Hi I have red-copper hair. The only shampoo in the house is for blonde hair. Will it change my hair color and make it funky, add lightness to my hair, or do nothing?

It wont do anything. It may lighten it in the slightist..but it prob wont even do that. Lol. Don't worry about it!!

It will most likely do nothing. If you were a blonde, using redhead shampoo, it might give a reddish cast to your hair, but even then, it would probably only last until the next shampoo.

I'm sure it will do nothing but get it clean. Those kind of shampoos are supposed to bring out subtle highlights but they don't really do anything noticeable.

Unless it has a tint in it then you are fine.... The new shampoo's they are coming out with just enhances the color it doesn't change it or lighten it or darken it. My honest belief is these shampoos don't really do anything... if you really want a shampoo that will enhance your color you need to get some from your hairdresser. They know what to give you for your color and hair type.

No it wont. As long as it doesnt have color depositing chemicals in it... if it does it usually says somewhere on the bottle so read it. It will just clarify you hair... meaning take the gunk out of it.

trust me sweetie, the reason why companies make shampoo for certain hair colour is to rip people of. im blonde and i always used to use pantene for blonde hair, paul mitchell, and a few others but they did absoulutely nothing to the colour. its just a way for the companies to make more product's so they get more money if you get my drift. so you'll be fine just do it any way! x
