Im a hairdresser for over ten years now - to put highlights in dark hair-id suggest a bleach and toner application, depending on your state you need to be a hairdresser to purchase certain chemicals to do the bleaching process.You can get this done professionaly at a salon for about 25-35.00 which is worth the cost , if you dont know how to do this, if you mess it up (not that you will) then your left with the results, if you get it done professionally they have to by law fix it for you . if you dont want to go to the salon and do it yourself a good color for you to use would be { wella color , strawberry blonde} it has a red base as does your natural color that way it wont turn your hair a color you dont want , if you dont want strawberry blonde , look for a red based color on the box dont use anything that has the word ASH in it , this is how you get green hair it will grab your natural hair.if you want a real real light blonde , id say clariol blonde #911 thats the lightest one available i believe , dont be discouraged if half way through it looks orange , just mix a new batch and reapply it , with dark hair it changes in slow stages and sometimes get stuck in the orange stage , thats when you reapply.

Well I think red hair is so pretty!! So if I were you I wouldnt touch it, but if you are going to, I would get like a dark purple, or Auburn..it'll be pretty fun! I wouldnt get blonde, unless its like a darker blonde.

I would say leave it. Red, natuarally, is very rare. But if you must, the only two colors that will go with it in my opinion are either blonde or, very dark black. However, do it is very little amounts, as your natural Hair Color is better than what the streaks will add...

black. but u should consider the color of ur eyes! if it's blue, then Orange will be better. if it's black... then black for the hair is the best.
