Ok i have medium red (orange) hair and i want to get lighter orange and blonde highlights by my face. How can I do that with stuff "just around the house"? Because i don't want to go to a salon or have to use a highlighting kit. Thanks, and don't forget the details!!!

As for the question, there isn't a whole lot around the house I would use...bleach and peroxide will both lighten hair, but I wouldn't try it, they are very harsh and you'll probably end up having to go to a salor or using a kit! Lemon juice and the sun would be about all I would use, it should give you some subtle highlights.

Don't touch it! If you're a natural red head and you mess up your streaks you will never get that color back. Try using just some lemon juice and going out in the sun. Or, have them done professionally!
