How do I keep my coloured red hair from fading?

I had my hair coloured at a salon about 3 weeks ago now, it was a nice cherry red with chocolate brown higlights. Now it's copper with the brown highlights... I'm not liking it. I used Paul Mitchell color protect, and made sure only to wash my hair every other day. Used heat protecting spray before blowdrying, but its still faded pretty quickly, i think. Is there anything I could use to get the colour back and keep it vibrant for longer? What about products in the drugstore for red hair? I know Pantene and John Frieda has a shampoo and conditioner for red hair. Do those products work?

I have red hair and use a shampoo by Schwartzcof called Seah Spa (in the green bottle) My sister owns her own salon and colours my hair, and she recomended it. It's expensive, but so is recolouring your hair. Hope this helps!

ummmmmmm. i wouldnt use paul mitchell. i would use something else. lemme check what i use........................ii use pantene color care stuff. it works for a long time. try it if you havnt already.
