It's kind of annoying the controversy of being a red head... on one side, I'll get compliments, but on the other, there's a lot of "Like, no offense, but I hate red hair" "Ohmigod you're a gingerr" "Most people think redheads in general are ugly". I'm in high school so 95% of the people are brunettes and conformists when it comes to looks and while I don't want to fall into that (I already dress like them) I'm getting kind of sick of people being so narrow minded about something as silly as my hair shade. It's like amber anyway, not orange or bozo red or anything. Do you think I should just dye it brown or deal?

Honestly, I think redheads are sexy... So people telling you that they don't like red hair, well that's their problem and not yours...
But the question you must answer for yourself is, are you a conformist? If you are, then by all means lose the most unique thing about you, and blend into the crowd... The choice is yours.

I think red hair isn't very common. And you know what? sometimes people say they hate blondes or brunettes, even when it's natural. So why care about it? I for one think most people with red hair are so pretty! Don't be like everyone else. I had a friend with red hair who dyed her hair BLACK and I was so sad to see that. It's not that it didn't look nice black, but her natural color was so pretty and unique, and not common that I wish I had it myself!

geez its high school..dont worry about your hair shade or what others think. it should be about what YOU think. go ahead and dye it red because you want to. its your hair NOT theirs. so just go ahead and dye it. how weird my high school has more non conformists... but yea.. dye it red.. it'll fade to brown anyways

Just so you know once you dye it will be hard to get back. so make sure you really want to dye it before you do. I really like red hair but it is up to you.
