Probably not the best influence for hair color, TV. To get it back to natural you're going to have to grow it back out. If you keep dying it it's just going to stay looking not quite right.

Don't be nasty! Report It

actually red fades quite fast, shampoo lots, condition with super mouturising conditioners, and consider highlighting with blonde or brown to tone down the harshness.

And whatever you do don't go black It's the WORST for sticking around Good luck!

Just find a good salon, they can remove the dye. We have all done this at one time or another. I made the mistake of letting a friend dye my hair....it was very bad.

Make an appointment, get it fixed, you'll be out a bit more money, but at least you will feel better about how you look.

You should go to a salon and tell them what you did and what your natural hair color is. They may be able to strip some of it out because you didn't lighten it, you just deposited color. Then they may be able to get it close to your natural color by using an ash blonde...ash counteracts red. You'll just have to make sure you condition your hair so it's not so damaged from the color. Hope this helps.

Wash it with dish detergent for a while. If you can, go to the salon ASAP and get the color stripped out. Blonde hair is usually more porous than darker hair, so it absorbs more color. The dish detergent is a little harsher than shampoo and will pull out some of the color. I wouldn't risk dying it back at home. You may end up with some weird colored hair that you can't fix.

i feel ur pain sister! i did the same thing and have naturally dark blonde hair......my "red" hair that looked so pretty on the box ended up looking deep purple for a long time then it faded to nasty red..it was absolutely the most awful thing i ever did to my hair.....2 years later i still cant get it out fully im blonde again but the red peaks through and is still there..it was hard to cover and im just now returning to almost pure looking blonde, dont dye it too soon u can damage ur hair..let it grow out a few months and buy some pretty hats, maybe u can go get it highlighted for now.... good luck and i know how u feel it SUCKS!!

You would have to get what is called a corrective color...done..dont do it at home I learned that the hard way and tried to lighten my hair from red and it turned pumpkin orange with light blonde roots...I'm in the process of getting my hair back to my original color which is Dark blonde...I had dyed my hair dark red for years .sure red hair dye does fade but not all the way...go to a salon and get a corrective color done ...and by the way I have been coloring my hair once a month and my hair has not fallen out and my stylist said my hair was in pretty good condition...but she has taken over to help me get back to my pretty blonde

Red hair dye fades out the fastest. I had my hair red for many years. It was very hard keeping the color in my hair. Use dish detergent to get it to fade out faster, use conditioner too.
