I have heard from two girls that have red hair that pink and red are a no,no, for them because of their red hair. I myself can't understand their reasoning. I've seen pictures of models in catalogs wearing these colors.

I think that red head should wear pink. I think that it looks good on them. With red I think that they should only wear this color when they wear their hair up. This way it doesn't look like to much red or wear a different shade of red.

I think it really depends on the color of hair and the color of shirt. Like burgundy hair + burgundy top, no, TOO much burgundy. But fire-engine red hair with a burgundy top can be super cute. Just make sure to get a second opinion first.

Well, I would wear them, anyway. So, I guess it varies from person to person. And, personally, I think red heads will look ravishing in yellows and greens. Pinks and reds will just blend them in. Perhaps your friends didn't want that.....

Remember red against red is a monocromatic color (one shade against the same shade). Play it up. If you're hair is dark red, go medium to light red. If it's dark, go marroon or brick red. With the pink, same deal.
